Newcastle Concert Band
Welcome to Newcastle Concert Band! We are a thriving, friendly and versatile concert band based in Jesmond with players from across the North East. We play a wide variety of music to a high level, from traditional marches to big band music, classical music to film and musical scores.
About us
Newcastle Concert Band was formed in the early 1980s and has played at many different events and venues across the region. We rehearse in Jesmond and perform all over the North East.
Our instruments currently include oboe, piccolo, flute, clarinet (Eb, Bb, alto, bass), bassoon, saxophone (alto, tenor, baritone), trumpet, French horn, euphonium, trombone, tuba and percussion.
We are a fun and ambitious band and welcome applications from prospective players of Grade 5 and above, although there are waiting lists for many instruments.
